Design to Move Ideas Forward
This was the award winning project I designed and developed in 2004 as the final project for a class Design and Development of Interactive Software with FlashMX. The features of this system are:
- One-screen interface;
- Customers can easily check the availability of tables for any date/time and make reservations to specific tables;
- Customers can pre-order from picture menu online (they will be prompted for credit card information if they pre-order);
- Restaurant has an admin panel to monitor and manage reservations; they can too use front-end to quickly glance for open slots in busy times when customer calls;
- The system also does simple validations. For example, it will not allow submission if customer puts 1 guest but want to reserve a 10-person table.
A Flash application for Gallup organization to better showcase their products. As a System Application Developer, I mainly worked on 2 projects. The other one was Even Calendar. This Labs Porfolio was the last project I worked on as a student, and the most fun one. All of us were interns from PKI, UNO and we were divided into two groups to design/develop this prototype same time. At the end we presented to Gallup executives and let they decide which one they would choose to continue working on. And this was the winning project.
A website mock-up designed for a Dutch online store that sells bikes.
Website designed/developed for CityMatCH. It was main part of my job when I worked there. The design was actually established before I was hired - after my first interview, I was given an assignment to design a home page for the future organizational website, and it was my design. But the development involved heavy coding and I had to pick up on PostgreSQL database for developing this website as it was the only option other than ColdFusion/MS Access that UNMC hosting provides. This website has multiple modules for different projects as well as an admin panel for project coordinators to manage information by themselves.
