Planner's Lab Software Interface designed by Liz | aboutliz.com - Interaction & Interface Design
Planner's Lab is Dr. Jerry Wagner's decision support software that uses English language to build models and visualize answers to what-if and goal-seeking questions. It first started as a small student project in summer 2003 when VIA Design group was just founded. From then until I left UNO in June 2005, I'd been involved quite a lot in its design and development, along with Dr. Wagner, Todd Yard (Flash developer), and several student members of the group: Mohana Desiraju, Eric Geoken, Ryan Phelan and Miao Liu. There were hundred of screens and several round of re-do's. The logo actually came from my class practice of "shape" tool in Flash. Dr. Wagner saw it and liked it, then I made it a logo. :)

Another interface project for Michael Russer. It was first designed in Photoshop then made to vector in Illustrator.

VIP HomeFinder Software Interface designed by Liz | aboutliz.com - Interaction & Interface Design

Interface design for software VIP HomeFinder, a serials of nearly 100 screens indicate each function of the application and the interactions with user's operation. This was a project that I took at guru.com. My client was Michael Russer (Mr. Internet), who knew what he wanted in great depth. It was quite a pleasure to work with him, and his feedback for me on guru.com was very positive too:

Frankly, I was looking for the "best of the best" for this project. It is extremely rare when my expectations are exceeded --rarer still when they are blown out of the water. That is precisely what happened when I saw the very first work that Liz turned in. Her skills and insights for interface design has greatly exceeded all of my expectations. I plan on continuing to use her talents for the remaining part of this project and for others that are in the que. Cannot over state just how good she is!
